Free SPIRIT Riders receives Christopher and Dana Reeves Quality of Life Grant!

Free SPIRIT  (Special People In Riding Therapy) Riders, Inc. is proud to have received a grant for $5000 from the Christopher and Dana Reeves Foundation. The funding is to be used to make the entrance to their restroom and waiting area wheel chair accessible.

This is beneficial to Free SPIRIT Riders and our community as Free SPIRIT Riders therapeutic horsemanship program is serving an increasing number of participants who rely on wheel chairs for mobility.

The Reeve Foundation is committed to supporting organizations that seek to improve the quality of life for people living with paralysis. They are proud to announce that they awarded over $500,000 in grants to 74 nonprofit organizations in the United States that improve opportunities, access and day-to-day quality of life for families and individuals living with disabilities.  The grants, awarded twice yearly, recognize programs that enable people with disabilities to live independent and active lives.
